The Fenrisian Kaerls were Solar Auxilia Regiments, that were raised from the Space Wolves' Homeworld, Fenris, during the Great Crusade and Horus Heresy.
History
Members of the Fenrisian Kaerls were raised from those Fenrisians who failed trials to join the Space Wolves Legion or proved to be incompatible with their Gene-Seed. Despite this, they were still considered fearsome soldiers and shared the same warrior-culture as the Space Wolves. As Fenris was never a populous world, the Fenrisian Kaerls never grew beyond a handful of cohorts. However they were valued more highly by their parent Legion than many other similar units utilized by the rest of the Legiones Astartes.
Their armour scheme was also used by Solar Auxilia Regiments raised from the Space Wolves' Fief Worlds. Regardless of their Homeworlds, the Kaerls' vehicles were marked with decorative motifs that were drawn from Fenris' culture and its veterans were inducted into the Aettguard. These Solar Auxillia were given the honour of protecting The Fang, which served as the Space Wolves' Fortress Monastery.

The Kaerls are the warrior serfs of the Space Wolves and Planetary Defense Force of the homeworld of Fenris. They are under the direct command of Space Wolves and are known to be fierce, effective fighters.
Kaerls wear grey uniforms (including a tunic), and are armoured in Carapace armour. They are also equipped with night-vision visors. When aboard void ships, they are equipped with blast-armour with translucent face masks.
For weapons the wield heavy Skjoldtar autoguns, known to be more powerful than the autoguns and lasguns of the Imperial Guard.
The most elite of the Kaerls join the Aettguard, which guard The Fang.
The Kaerls are organised into units known as "rivens" , each lead by an officer kaerl known as a "rivenmaster". Rivens are various sizes, with rivens often having hundreds of kaerls. These rivens are further broken up into squads of six kaerls, each lead by a "huskaerl"
