"Konflikt '47 is the tabletop wargame of heroes, horrors, monsters, and mechs, putting you in command of the nightmarish struggle for supremacy as the old world is torn apart and remade in blood and crackling energy.

This is not war. This is the end

Konflikt'47 Factions:
  • The Axis
  • The British Commonwealth
  • The Empire of Japan
  • The Soviet Bloc
  • The United States

"By early 1944, the signs of an inevitable Axis defeat were there for all to see. German forces were being pushed back on all fronts. In the East, Stalin’s inexhaustible supply of men and materials were on the verge of collapsing the German defences whilst to the south the Western Allies were conducting a grinding advance up the spine of Italy. Meanwhile over the Channel, a quarter of a million US and Commonwealth troops were ready to land in France to complete the encirclement of the thousand-year Reich. Then, on 12 March 1944, everything changed as atomic destruction rained down on Dresden, opening a new terrible chapter in the history of conflict.

The old National Socialist leadership was swept away almost overnight and Germany underwent a profound transformation as the triumphant devotees of the Grünes Gewölbe (The Green Vault) took power. Society, industry and culture were ruthlessly remodelled and nowhere was that change as great as amongst the Axis armed forces."

Finnish historical IRL relationship

Soviets → Main threat to Finland, tried to conquering Finland (Winter War 1939–1940), Finland attacks to Russia in Continuation War (25 June 1941 – 19 September 1944)
Soviet Union was allied with British and USA.(Russia took care of 80% of Nazi Germany)

British → complex.
Because of Finland’s close relations with Imperial Germany - Great Britain and the United States did not recognise Finland’s independence until May 1919.
Britain and Finland were at odds in the Kinship wars.
In the Winter War 1939–1940, Great Britain was a prominent supporter of Finland, although it did not provide any direct military aid.
Then during the summer of 1940, British foreign policy looked to gain some support from the Soviet Union, so the new Britain government under Churchill appointed Sir Stafford Cripps, from the left wing of the Labour Party, as ambassador to Moscow. He had openly supported the Terijoki Government during the Winter War and he wondered to Ambassador Paasikivi 'didn't the Finns really want to follow Baltic Republics and join the Soviet Union?'. He also dismissively called President Kallio "Kulak" and Nordic social democracy "reactionary". However, his opinions were not shared by the British Foreign Office.

"During the Interim Peace (1940-41), Finnish foreign trade with countries other than Germany (and its satellites) was almost impossible, as our lifeline in Petsamo was dependent on navy certificates issued by England. Finland had to apply to England for permission to charter each consignment of goods.
Eventually, England also stopped issuing navy certificates, leaving Germany as Finland's only foreign trade partner. England and Russia forced Finland into dependence on Germany."

Britain declared war on Finland on 3 December 1941.

Axis → not formal allies but attacked Soviets at the same time in Continuation War (25 June 1941 – 19 September 1944) and then Finland turned against Nazi-Germany in Lapland War (15 September 1944 – 27 April 1945)

Approximately 1400 Finnish volunteers in the SS troops (5th SS Panzer Division Wiking)

Japan → Due to the long geographical distance, communication was relatively limited until the late 1970s. Japan recognized Finland as an independent state on 23 May 1919. Diplomatic relations between Finland and Japan were established on 24 May 1919. Finland established a mission in Tokyo the same year. The establishment of a Finnish mission in Japan was a diplomatic measure aimed at clarifying Finland's new position in the Far East. Finland started to consider posting a Chargé d'Affaires to Japan. The country's geopolitical location was thought to serve as a suitable observation post of developments in the eastern parts of the Soviet Union.

The threat of a major war, attitudes towards the Soviet Union and Japan's national interests were items that had an influence on the talks between diplomats in the Tokyo of the 1930s.

On the eve of the Finnish Winter War, the Japanese held a very positive picture of Finland. They extended their moral support to the country that was struggling in the heat of difficult negotiations. During the first days of the Winter War, the Japanese thought that Finland was in an almost hopeless situation. The Finns' successful resistance and major tactical victories aroused great respect in the Japanese

Due to the global politics after World War II, diplomatic relations between Finland and Japan had to be temporarily suspended for the years 1944-1952,

USA → some trade and secret negotiations. Finland requested US occupation in 1943 to secure peace, and the US even considered it However, the US refused to occupy Northern Finland, considering it too risky.
