Karelian language, cultural heritage and artificial intelligence webinar
Time: 8.10. 18:00-19:00 (finnish time)
Place: The webinar will be held online via remote connection. The link to the webinar will be posted on the website and the Karelian Federation Facebook channel closer to the date.
Can artificial intelligence help preserve the Karelian language and cultural heritage? The one-hour webinar will look at concrete examples of how new tools can support the Karelian language, identity, stories and tradition. The event is suitable for everyone interested and does not require previous knowledge of artificial intelligence.
The webinar will be lectured by Tove Mylläri, who works as an AI Implementation Lead at Yle and as a consultant for the EBU. She is currently finalizing a children's book about Orthodox Karelianess. Her work is united by an interest in how new technologies can help preserve small languages and cultures.
