The Viking is a job is gained from the Water Crystal. Vikings swing hammers and axes with ease. It is a defense-oriented job, with good HP gain per level. Its only drawback in the original Famicom version is the Viking's low accuracy, which leads to lower damage output compared to other warrior classes.In later releases, they develop slower than other melee jobs, and are mainly used as a "tank" for their Provoke ability and access to the strongest armor.
