Helsingin Sanomat: Languages | One of the measures introduced by the program is the establishment of the so-called Karelian People's Assembly.
https://www.hs.fi/suomi/art-2000011249509.html Mistral AI translated:
Languages | One of the measures introduced by the program is the establishment of the so-called Karelian People's Assembly.
Janne Jussila HS
A revival program has been created for the Karelian language to strengthen the position of the endangered native language.
The program presents 23 measures to revive the Karelian language and enhance its vitality. The proposals also include legislative changes. Implementing the proposals would require separate decisions from the Ministry of Education and Culture and other parties.
One of the measures introduced by the program is the establishment of the so-called Karelian People's Assembly. The new public body would be responsible for the development work of the Karelian language.
The program also proposes the enactment of a separate language law for Karelian. This would guarantee constitutional rights for Karelian speakers to maintain their own language and culture.
Many of the measures proposed by the program are related to increasing the teaching and visibility of the Karelian language.
The program proposes, among other things, the establishment of a Karelian-language editorial office at Yle. The Ministry of Education and Culture is also proposed to support the writing of Karelian-language study materials.
Karelian is a close relative of Finnish, with a long history in Finland. According to the latest estimates, about 20,000 people in Finland understand Karelian, of whom about 11,000 speak the language well.
The language has been actively revived in recent decades. For example, Karelian courses at universities have been popular among students.
The revival program has been published in the publication series of the Ministry of Education and Culture, but it has been prepared by an expert working group on the Karelian language consisting of external experts and a Karelian language revival project funded separately by the University of Eastern Finland.
The program will be presented on Thursday at the University of Eastern Finland's Joensuu campus.
Correction on Wednesday, May 21, at 18:20: The article previously incorrectly suggested that the Ministry of Education and Culture was the author of the proposed measures in the Karelian language revival program. The ministry is not proposing a separate law for the Karelian language, nor a Karelian language law, the creation of Karelian People's Assembly, or a Karelian-language editorial office at Yle.

Space Wolves/Wolfspear organization
yritin järjestellä itselleni tätä Space Wolves/ Wolfspear organisointia joka ei noudata Codex Astartesia
I tried to organize myself this Space Wolves/Wolfspear organization that does not follow the Codex Astartes
- the Space Wolves are renowned for their anti-authoritarian ways and their embrace of their homeworld Fenris' savage barbarian culture as well as their extreme deviation from the Codex Astartes in the Chapter's organisation.
All-father = God-Emperor
Packs = Squads
- Unlike standard Space Marine squads, as defined by the Codex Astartes, where individual squad members are frequently reassigned to replace casualties or grouped together according to their experience, Space Wolves fight together as a single pack from their induction into the Chapter until death claims them all.
Leman Russ, also called The Wolf King, The Great Wolf or The Lord of Winter and War is the Primarch of the Space Wolves Chapter. He along with Angron and Vulkan, was considered to be one of the mightiest warriors amongst the Primarchs. Known for his fierce and wild personality, Leman Russ considered himself the Emperor's most loyal son and executioner, unquestionably carrying out the punishment of the Master of Mankind. The Chaos emissary to Lorgar called him the Brawler.
- Leman Russ actually wrote a book on how to take down Space Marines after Prospero. Then he gave it to Horus.
- "Moreover, of all the Legions, it was the Space Wolves alone who possessed any experience of real war against the Legiones Astartes, knowledge from which they quickly codified a body of tactics and strategies intended to aid in defeating other Legions should the Emperor ever decree their destruction. This Omega Codex was a direct threat to the other Legions, and its contents were shared only with the Sons of Horus and the Warmaster himself, an error the Wolf King would not realise until much later. Almost every Legion petitioned the Emperor for the destruction of the Omega Codex and the censure of the Space Wolves for its creation, save the Night Lords, Alpha Legion and Iron Hands who instead demanded it be shared with all of the Legions equally." - From the Forgeworld Horus Heresy Book 7: Inferno.
- Not only did Leman essentially made the codex astartes before Guilliman but almost every other primarch tried to stop him from doing so.

The Kaerls are the armed and well-trained military serfs charged with the defence of the Chapter's vessels and holdings. They serve under the direct command of the Space Wolves Chapter of the Adeptus Astartes. Renowned as fierce and effective fighters, Kaerls are commonly equipped with skjoldtar projectile weapons and thick blast-armour. All Kaerls are trained to wield a blade and fire a skjoldtar, a heavy armour-piercing projectile weapon similar to the Autoguns favoured by the Aettguard, the body of elite, Carapace-armoured Kaerls committed to the defence of Leman Russ' ancient fortress-monastery. Kaerls are the children of a Death World, and from the youngest infant to the oldest crone they know the art of killing. Kaerls are rough-spoken and often strict towards the lesser Thralls of the Space Wolves. They do not think twice about landing a punch with a riflebutt for sloppy work, but are humane enough beyond that. They commonly partake in the imbibing of demi-mjod |

|
Ship Master |
The mortal commanders of the Space Wolves' void vessels are known as ship masters, charged with commanding the Chapter's warships in the absence of the Astartes of the Space Wolves themselves. |
|
Helmsmaster |
The Chapter serf known as a Helmsmaster is unique to the Space Wolves Chapter. Unlike other Chapters, the Space Wolves have no Space Marine captain in overall charge of the Chapter's fleet of warships. Instead, each Great Company has its own flagship, which is manned by Chapter serfs. The Helmsmaster serves as the Captain of the Great Company's flagship, and is trusted by the Space Wolves to deliver them safely to their objective, often in the midst of the enemy. |
|
Star-speakers |
The astropaths in service to the Space Wolves are known as star-speakers. |
|
Navigators |
Like all Imperial Warp-capable voidships, the Space Wolves' starships require Navigators to travel the tides of the Immaterium. The Space Wolves have a long-standing political alliance with the Navis Nobilite's House Belisarius to provide guides for the Chapter's voidships. Twenty-four Space Wolves are assigned to House Belisarius on Terra as guards and security officers, known as Wolfblades, in exchange for the service of an equal number of House Belisarius' most-skilled Navigators for the Chapter fleet. |
|
Wolfblade |
The Wolfblade is an ancient honour guard of Adeptus Astartes drawn from the Space Wolves Chapter who protect the Navigator House of Belisarius on Terra, in accordance with an ancient pact forged at the time of the Great Crusade over 10,000 standard years ago.
The Wolfblade is responsible for training House Belisarius' mortal private troops under the command of the house's ruling Celestarch and leading them into battle. They act as the Belisarius Celestarch's strong right arm when there is a need. They slay his enemies in open battle and by stealth when required. |

- Yamatotakeru - ISTP 1w9
- "Yamato Takeru was a Japanese folk hero and semi-legendary prince of the Yamato dynasty, son of Emperor Keikō, who is traditionally counted as the 12th Emperor of Japan. Owing to the legend of Yamato Takeru's death, he is worshiped as Otori-sama (The Great Bird)."
- Shinatsuhiko - ISTP 3w4
- "Shina-Tsu-Hiko was born from the breath of Izanagi and is the god of the winds. He is not the only wind god, however. There are several more who control certain types of winds. Among them are Shina-Tsu-Hiko's daughter, Shina-To-Be, who blows away the morning mists; Tatsuta-Hiko and Tatsuta-Hime, who bring fresh air to the fields to aid in producing good harvests; and Haya-ji, the god of whirlwinds. While these gods are personifications of certain types of winds, Shina-Tsu-Hiko is in charge of all the winds, and so is superior to them in the same way a shogun is superior to a daimyo. Shina-Tsu-Hiko has the power to control the winds anywhere on earth, and can use this capability to bring hot, dusty conditions, pleasant rains, terrible storms, and so forth. In his true form, Shina-Tsu-Hiko appears to be a well-appointed lord. Shina-Tsu-Hiko is unpredictable and capricious. One day, he may be perfectly contented with the homage paid to him in a certain village. The next, he may find it woefully inadequate and use his power to rip the roofs from all the houses. Omens from Shina-Tsu-Hiko usually take the form of words whispered in the wind, but it is not always possible to make out the meaning or his speech."

DC comics' Werewolves
https://dc.fandom.com/wiki/Werewolves
Werewolves, also known as Lycanthropes or Wolfmen, are mythological humans with the ability to shapeshift into wolves or wolf-like creatures, either purposely, being bitten by another werewolf or after being placed under a curse.
Powers
- Lycanthropy
- Transformation
- Claws
- Enhanced Senses
- Fangs
- Invulnerability
- Superhuman Reflexes
- Superhuman Stamina
- Superhuman Strength
Weaknesses
- Most werewolves are vulnerable to physical contact with silver. A silver bullet fired at a strategic locale, such as the head or the heart will kill a werewolf. The same applies to bladed weapons made of silver including swords, spears and daggers. Repeated blows from a blunt object made of silver will eventually kill a werewolf.
Notes
- This character or object is an adaptation of Werewolf, a character or object in traditional stories. These include, but may not be limited to religious texts, myth, and/or folk lore.
- On Pre-Crisis Earth-AD, one of the many races that existed were the Wolf People. These beings were the result of scientific mutation and were not true werewolves.
- In Earth-One continuity, werewolves existed on the planet Krypton as well. In one instance, Superman was briefly turned into a Werewolf and fought against his colleague Batman.
- Robin was once briefly turned into a werewolf.
- Earth-C had the legend of the "Wuz-Wolf": a wolf who was cursed to transform into a mythical being called a human. A. Wolf came under such a curse due to a medallion affected by the same meteorite that gave the Zoo Crew their powers.
Marvel's Werewolves
https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Werewolves
The werewolf or "lycanthrope" is an individual, usually human, that can shapeshift into a wolf or therianthropic hybrid wolf-like creature, either purposely or after being placed under a curse or affliction (often a bite or scratch from another werewolf) with the transformations occurring on the night of a full Moon.
Origins
Like many supernatural races that exist on Earth, the true origins of werewolves vary in many accounts. Furthermore, there are many other species that have similar characteristics.
- While traditionally, werewolves appear to have a mystical background, their origins are tied to the Wolf Demon, the Wolf Gods, and the Wolf-Men, a race of lupine humanoids that existed circa 18,000 BC.
- One account suggests that lycanthropy was a gift handed down by the Elder Gods. There are passages in the Darkhold that contain information regarding a werewolf curse, which suggests that there may be some connection between werewolves and Chthon.
- The Caretakers of Arcturus were also involved in the creation of the werewolf curse.
- Khonshu was said to have started the curse to create super-powered slaves controlled by his Moon and vulnerable to the silver that his followers used.
Though they were created only circa 8,000 BC, following the post-Hyborian cataclysm, or after the Great Cataclysm, there were mentions of them and even known werewolves in the Pre-Cataclysmic and the Hyborian Age such as Demontur. Given Werewolves are distant relatives of the Wolf-Men, it can be assumed mention of "werewolves" predating the Great Cataclysm are related to the Wolf-Men.
Powers
- Typically, werewolves have enhanced strength and can transform between human form and wolf form and into various stages of mid-way transformation. In their lupine forms they have enhanced senses, speed, and agility. Most mystically-created werewolf transformations are controlled by the phases of the Moon. The phases of the Moon also effect how much of their human mind remains intact during their transformations. Typically, mystically-created werewolves are immune to most conventional forms of physical harm and have enhanced healing abilities.
- Artificially-made werewolves have various levels of strength and limitations that depend on the varying factors.
Weaknesses
- Mystically-created werewolves usually have a weakness to silver. This element can cause them permanent harm or even kill them
Artificial Werewolves
Some "werewolves" are in fact product of recent science:
- According to the Angel, a mixture of the rare herbs Sitsuie and Hirsasu could transform an individual into a werewolf if they were injected by this. He would clash with two such werewolves, the Pakistani Singa and his hapless victim Robert Harrison. The Angel would slay Singa and cure Harrison. How to cure such a transformation remains unknown. These werewolves had enhanced strength and were consumed by a savage fury. They appeared to remain in lupine form indefinably, and were vulnerable to no mortal means of death.
- Nightshade created a Werewolf Serum, which was useful to Dredmund, the Demon Druid. She helped him create a small army of werewolves, and even temporarily transformed Captain America into a werewolf.
Mistaken for Werewolves
Due to their wolf-like characteristics, many individuals have confused them for Werewolves, but they are not;
- The X-Gene causes many many mutants to take on lupine characteristics. This includes: Romulus, Remus, Blondie, Pup, Wolverine, Sabretooth, Wolfsbane, Wolf Cub, Vivisector, Native, Wild Child, Aardwolf, Maximus Lobo, Thornn, Feral, and possibly Hunter in Darkness.
- Tier was the offspring of a mutant and a Wolf God.
- John Jameson was the Man-Wolf, the result of an extraterrestrial virus that transforms people who come in contact with the Godstone, and a race of Weirdworld.
- Many scientist have uplifted wolves to give them humanoid characteristics, such as:
- The Man-Beast, one of the New Men created by the High Evolutionary.
- Fera, created by Master Khan.
- In the 1950s, Joel Dennis found himself becoming a werewolf. He went to Dr. Herme Slovak who injected him with a serum that transformed the man into his true form of an actual wolf.
