First you cut down trees in June-July.

Cut branches and better logs went for kaski. Bad ones for burnwood.
You let kaski-logs stay to next summer and burn then.

For plowing you used tools as “astavu” and “kaskiadru” Plowed field is now called “huuhtu.”
in end of August, you plow huuhtu with astavu and put rye seeds to ground.
Then you use kaskiadru to plow huuhtu again and let it stay to next year.
Then you can harvest huuhtu. This is field’s third year.

- it took three year to make ryebread.
